Leuven University Press and the KU Leuven Fund for Fair Open Access

We are delighted to announce that KU Leuven has launched this January 2018 the KU Leuven Fund for Fair OA. The KU Leuven Fund for Fair Open Access fosters the development of new and innovative publishing models which are cost-effective and sustainable. All researchers who wish to publish an OA book with Leuven University Press are eligible to apply for funding.

As a member of the League of European Research Universities (LERU), KU Leuven fully supports the LERU-network’s position on the importance of Open Access and Open Data for scholarship. In order to stimulate authors to publish their work according to the Fair OA principles, KU Leuven has established a Fund for Fair OA. This fund provides financial support to cover the publishing costs of eligible OA books and articles.
