Peer review

To guarantee the quality of our publications and maintain international academic standards, all titles are submitted to peer review. Leuven University Press presents all new proposals and manuscripts considered for publication to an independent Editorial Board for initial assessment.

Following a positive response of the Editorial Board, the final manuscript will be send to two specialist readers for expert advice to ensure the highest academic standards. The publishing decision depends on the advice of the reviewers and cannot be contested.

In case of a positive decision, authors/editors will receive a proposal for publication and financing. In some cases the authors may be asked for a revision of the work before receiving a final proposal for publication. In case of a negative review, Leuven University Press will not publish your manuscript.
