Delivery time
Leuven University Press aims at the following delivery times:
For Belgium: 5 to 8 working days
For EU: 2 to 3 weeks
For other countries: 4 to 5 weeks

Complaints must be made in writing or by fax within 8 days after delivery. Damaged shipments may be returned. Upon receipt of the returned goods, Leuven University Press will reimburse the amount of your order or replace the goods. Leuven University Press may reject returned goods or not reimburse payment if the goods were damaged by the customer.

Right to cancel – returns
The consumer may cancel the order before delivery.
The consumer may appeal to the right to cancel:
The consumer has the right to communicate to the seller that he or she is cancelling the purchase, without payment of a penalty and without providing justification, within seven working days from the day that follows delivery of the product or the date the service agreement is concluded.

The consumer must communicate this by registered letter. In the case of cancellation (within seven days after delivery), the consumer must return the products to Leuven University Press at his or her own expense. In this case Leuven University Press will reimburse any payments already made by the consumer. The right to cancel may not be exercised for deliveries of audio and video recordings or for computer software whose seal has been broken by the consumer.

Payment of invoices
Unless contractual provisions declare otherwise, invoices are payable at Leuven in cash following receipt, net and without discount. The consumer has the right to wait to make payment until after the expiration of a period of seven working days, during which time the consumer has the right to cancel the order.

Interest for non-payment on due date
Delay interest of 1,5% per month will be charged, lawfully and without reminder, for every invoice which has not been paid by the due date.

Without prejudice to the aforementioned delay interest, the invoice amount will lawfully be increased by 10% in the event of non-payment by the due date, by way of compensation for administrative and other costs. The minimum charged shall be 40,00 EUR. If Leuven University Press remains in default in properly processing the order, the consumer is entitled to appropriate damage compensation. In the case of unavailability of an item, the buyer will be notified of this as quickly as possible and he or she may cancel the order. In any case, Leuven University Press may not be held liable for claims that result from the unavailability of an item.

Competent court
The courts of Leuven are exclusively competent in all disputes relating to our sales and deliveries.
