TSEG - The Low Countries Journal of Social and Economic History is the Dutch-Flemish journal of social and economic history. It is an open access, peer-reviewed, scientific journal that is indexed in Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), ERIHPlus, Google Scholar, Historical abstracts and Scopus.

The journal publishes articles and reviews in the fields of social and economic history in the broader sense, with a particular but not exclusive focus on the Low Countries. Areas of interest are economic growth, power and (in)equality, group cultures, networks, identity, gender, ethnicity, ecology, trade and technique, entrepreneurship, labour,  social movements, and human interaction. The editors consider insights and theories from the social sciences (including economics) as a source of inspiration.

Contributions in Dutch and English are accepted.

From January 2021 onwards, TSEG - The Low Countries Journal of Social and Economic History is published on behalf of the International Institute of Social History (IISG) and Nederlands Economisch-Historisch Archief (NEHA) by Leuven University Press.

TSEG - The Low Countries Journal of Social and Economic History is het Nederlands-Vlaamse vaktijdschrift voor sociale en economische geschiedenis. Het is een open access, peer-reviewed wetenschappelijk tijdschrift geïndexeerd in Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), ERIHPlus, Google Scholar, Historical abstracts en Scopus.

TSEG richt zich op de sociale en economische geschiedenis in brede zin, met een focus op de Lage Landen. De onderwerpen zijn economische groei, macht en (on)gelijkheid, groepsculturen, netwerken, identiteit, gender, etniciteit, ecologie, bedrijf en techniek, ondernemerschap, arbeid, sociale bewegingen en menselijke interactie. De redactie beschouwt inzichten en theorieën uit de sociale wetenschappen (inclusief de economie) als een bron van inspiratie.

Het tijdschrift verwelkomt bijdragen in het Nederlands en het Engels.

Vanaf januari 2021 wordt TSEG - The Low Countries Journal of Social and Economic History namens het Internationaal Instituut voor Sociale Geschiedenis (IISG) en het Nederlands Economisch-Historisch Archief (NEHA) uitgegeven door Universitaire Pers Leuven.
