‘Constructing Faith in the Antipodes’ receives Queensland Heritage Award

Dr Lisa Marie Daunt’s book Constructing Faith in the Antipodes: Modern Church Architecture in Queensland 1945–1977 has won a 2026 Queensland Heritage Award in the category Heritage Reports · Resources · Publications, presented by the National Trust of Australia (Queensland).

Published in the KADOC-Artes series, the study explores post-war church architecture in Queensland and highlights how modern design movements were adapted in a local Australian context between 1945 and 1977.

The jury recognised the publication for its strong research base and its valuable contribution to documenting and interpreting Queensland’s modern religious heritage.
