Book Tour Cinema in Post-War Belgium

Editors Gertjan Willems, Bjorn Gabriels, and Bénédicte Rochet are taking the book Cinema in Post-War Belgium on tour this Fall with a series of talks and film screenings across Belgium. This open-access volume is the first comprehensive history of Belgian cinema in the post-war decades.

Tour dates:

. 6 October, 20:30 – Un ‘Soir’ de joie (Gaston Schoukens, 1955) at Film-Plateau in KASKcinema, Ghent

. 16 October, 12:30 – Film Fest Gent Talkie, following a screening of Meeuwen sterven in de haven (Rik Kuypers, Ivo Michiels, Roland Verhavert, 1955), at Film Fest Gent

. 25 November, 19:00 – Meeuwen sterven in de haven (Rik Kuypers, Ivo Michiels, Roland Verhavert, 1955) at De Cinema, Antwerp
