Book launch ‘Decentering Leuven University’ – 12 February

20th January, 2026 in Latest news

Since its foundation in 1425, the University of Leuven has always been a transnational institution. Decentering Leuven University examines how this transnational character has shaped the university over six centuries, with cross-border ties being a recurring theme in its history, from the Middle Ages to the present day.

On Thursday 12 February at 5 p.m., a festive book presentation will take place in the Forum of Museum M in Leuven. This will be followed by a reception, and the exhibition ‘The Pursuit of Knowledge’ will also be open to visitors. The exhibition will be open until 10 p.m. that evening.
