Critical Debates in Film and Media Studies
This book series’ mission is to address the central issues that
animate thinking about film and audiovisual media across
the globe. It revisits foundational texts and discussions while
also pursuing new lines of inquiry and interpretation.
Originally launched in 2010 as “The Key Debates,” the series
produced a distinguished lineup of open-access volumes
with Amsterdam University Press on topics such as
audiences, feminisms, ostrannenie, post-cinema, screens,
spaces, stories, subjectivity, and technics.
New volumes in the series will be published in open access
with Leuven University Press. The series welcomes
submissions by established scholars as well as promising
young researchers, and it is committed to diversity and
inclusion.
