Leuven University Press expands the acquisitions team and welcomes Maryse Elliott as acquisitions editor.

Maryse Elliott is a senior commissioning editor with over 20 years of experience in academic publishing and Open Access initiatives. Most recently, Maryse worked for Amsterdam University Press, where she developed internationally recognised book series in Film, Media & Communication Studies, Social & Political Sciences, and Environmental Humanities. With Maryse joining the acquisitions team, the Press will continue to expand and develop its collections in these fields.

“Leuven University Press brings together academic excellence, a strong commitment to Open Access, and a deep respect for authors, values that strongly resonate with my own editorial practice. I’m delighted to contribute to the press by commissioning and collaborating with scholars to develop book projects that matter intellectually, socially, and globally.”

— Maryse Elliott

Veerle De Laet, Director of Leuven University Press, is delighted about the collaboration with Maryse Elliott: “Her expertise will further strengthen our team and deepen our collaboration with researchers across a range of disciplines.”

Active in scholarly publishing for over 50 years, Leuven University Press has built a strong book collection in the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. The Press is committed to sustainable and future-proof publishing and, alongside traditional (non–Open Access) publishing, actively embraces Open Access as an academic publishing model.
