Figures of the Unconscious

In collaboration with the International Society for Psychoanalysis and Philosophy (SIPP-ISPP).

Since 2001 Figures of the Unconscious has served as an international platform where philosophers and psychoanalysts reflect on the complex relations between their disciplines. Psychoanalysis occupies a crucial position within contemporary philosophical thinking. It necessarily implies a theory of what it is to be human, and also inevitably speaks to political philosophy, feminism and gender studies. This high quality peer-reviewed series articulates different aspects of these relations in a non-dogmatic manner and in ways that are relevant for contemporary debates.
