Humanistica Lovaniensia publishes articles on Neo-Latin in English, French, German, Italian, Latin and Spanish, and critical editions of Neo-Latin texts with translations and notes. Furthermore, it contains the annual systematically ordered bibliography of Neo-Latin studies (Instrumentum bibliographicum neolatinum), accompanied by critical notes. The journal is fully indexed (names, mss., Neo-Latin neologisms). Volume 1 through 16 were edited by the late Mgr. Henry de Vocht from 1928 to 1961 as a series of monographs on the history of humanism at Louvain, especially in the Collegium Trilingue. Beginning with volume 17 (1968) Humanistica Lovaniensia appears annually as a Journal of Neo-Latin Studies.

Dirk Sacré is professor of Latin and Neo-Latin at KU Leuven.
Gilbert Tournoy is emeritus professor of Classical, Mediaeval and Renaissance Latin at KU Leuven.
Jan Papy is full professor of Latin and Neo-Latin literature at KU Leuven. He publishes on Renaissance Humanism in the Low Countries, intellectual history, and Lipsius and Neo-Stoic philosophy.
Monique Mund-Dopchie is emeritus professor of Ancient Greek literature and History of Humanism at the Université Catholique de Louvain (Louvain-la-Neuve).
