Book Launch | Colonial Legacies

Colonial Legacies

Gabriella Nugent will present her new book Colonial Legacies with an in-person event on 26 April 2022.

Gabriella Nugent, currently a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow (2022–2025) in the Department of Art History and World Art Studies at the University of East Anglia, examines a generation of contemporary artists born or based in the Congo whose lens-based art attends to the afterlives and mutations of Belgian colonialism in postcolonial Congo in her new book 'Colonial Legacies'.

The book launch will take place on 26 April 2022, between 6:00 pm–7:30 pm. The event will be hosted by University College London's Institute of Advanced Studies and take place at IAS Common Ground Ground floor, South Wing, Wilkins Building, in London. It is open to all and free of charge. More information >
